Kesshin Kai Martial Arts Seminar 13th November ’16
Celerbrating our 19th Anniversary this year #kesshinkai held their annual Martial Arts Seminar and Multi-Discipline Competition.
Representing Nunchaku International Academy Vice-President and President & Founder of Sport Nunchaku U.K. Sensei R. Smith 6th Dan Ju-Jitsu, 4th Dan Nunchaku, 2nd Dan Kobudo.
International Budo Federation President & National Coach England & Wales Sensei T. Starling 7th Dan Jiu Jitsu.
Vice Chairman to British Aikido Federation (Aikikai Foundation, Tokyo) Sensei D. Yates 5th Dan, Shidoin.
In the Morning Sensei Smith worked through some freestyle Nunchaku techniques, closely assisted by Sensei P. C’ailceta. Followed by Sensei D. Yates traditional Aikido and take downs from the help of his Uke Sensei D. O’Brien.
Shortly after this Sensei T. Starling performed his famous wrist and arm locking techniques with his assistant Sensei J. Taylor.
At lunch time there was a BBQ and Bouncy castle. Training continued promptly and then Sensei Smith took to the mat, working through nunchaku speed changes and attack and defence striking scenarios.
Sensei Yates finished up for the last part of the day performing some excellent sweeps and controlled defence grabs.

In the afternoon there was competitions in Ju-Jitsu Ground Fighting, Sport Nunchaku Combat, Kata Ju-Jitsu, Sport Nunchaku Freestyle and Kata Kobudo.
